Manual Dial
If you are placing a call that is not in the directory, you may enter the number manually by pressing the
MANUAL DIAL button on the Call Control page.
1. Enter the NUMBER or ADDRESS you wish to dial. You may enter any combination of
alphanumeric* characters by pressing 'AB@C' to use the pop-up keyboard.
* TANDBERG's F2 codec software supports URI Dialing for dialing names, H.323 IDs, and Email addresses.
2. Press EDIT to modify any call options necessary:
a. Call Type: select Video or Telephone
b. Network: select ISDN, IP (H.323), or SIP
c. Restrict: select On or Off for Restricted 56k networks
d. Bandwidth: increase [ + ] or decrease [ - ] your call rate bandwidth
3. Press CALL NOW to place the call. The touch panel will return to the MAIN conference page when
the call connects.
You may place additional calls, manually or from the Directory, to begin a MultiSite session if that
option is enabled (see
If no call is placed, press the Directory button to return to the main Call Control page.
Directory
The Local directory is a local, user defined set of entries used for placing calls. The Corporate or Global
directories are available from an external directory management application such as TMS (TANDBERG
Management System).
