Troubleshooting
Possible cause
No power
Brewing unit not properly installed
or not closed.
Coffee grinds container not properly
installed.
Coffee bean container is empty.
Water tank is empty.
After steam dispensing the system is
not or is insufficiently de-aerated.
Air in water system.
Coffee powder selection button is
pressed, but no coffee powder is
dispensed.
Steam nozzle blocked.
Beans ground too coarsely.
Beans ground too finely.
The cups are cold.
Boiler temperature too low.
Unsuitable coffee blend.
Coffee is no longer freshly roasted.
Beans ground too coarsely or finely.
The machine is calcified.
The brewing unit is not in home
position.

Remedy
Check mains plug / mains
circuit breaker /
Ensure machine door is
closed.
Install brewing unit
correctly.
Brewing unit correctly
installed.
Fill coffee container.
Water tank
De-aerate machine.
Clean grinder.
Press hot water button.
Add one level measure of
coffee powder.
Free opening using a thin
needle.
Select lower grind level;
e.g. change from 5 to 3.
Select higher grind level;
e.g. change from 5 to 7.
Pre-heat cups.
Increase temperature in user
programme.
Change brand of coffee.
Use fresh coffee.
Change grind level.
Decalcify machine.
Turn machine on, close
service door and check
dregs drawer.
(the brewing unit goes
automatically to home
position)
