Broken or damaged teeth
Loose pulleys mounting nuts
If you find any of these problems with
your pulley, consult your Hyosung dealer.
CAUTION
The two pulleys should be inspected for
wear when a new belt is installed and
replace them if necessary.
DRIVE BELT SLACK ADJUSTMENT
Adjust the drive belt slack to the proper
specification. The belt may require more fre-
quent adjustments than periodic mainte-
nance schedule depending upon your riding
conditions.
Adjust the belt in the following way.
Engine pulley
Belt case
inspecting hole
4.5 kgf of Force
1. Place the motorcycle on the jack or block.
2. Loosen the rear axle
3. Loosen the lock nut
4. Adjust the slack in the drive belt by the
drive belt adjuster
turning toward the clockwise or counter-
clockwise.
5. Inspect the drive belt slack by the belt
case inspecting hole
the motorcycle.
6. For alignment of the front wheel and
rear wheel, there are reference mark
on the same position, right and left.
Aligning and adjusting the slack in the
drive belt to specification, retighten the
lock nut and rear axle securely and per-
form a final inspection.
