Valve Assembly Replacement - Regency Plateau PTO30-NG Owners & Installation Manual

MAINTENANCE
Turn the unit off and allow to cool to room temperature.
1) Remove table top by lifting up and off, use caution if glass surround is in
place.
2) Remove glass crystals, garden stones and logset, if installed.
3) Locate and remove 2 screws at each end of burner assembly - see loca-
tions in Diagram 1 below.
4) Slide burner forward (if pilot is on the left) off of the burner orifi ce and lift
up to remove burner assembly.
5) Remove 6 screws on valve access cover.
6) Turn off gas supply and remove fl ex connection at valve.
7) Remove orange EV1 wire connected to the gas valve.
8) Remove green EV2 wire connected to the gas valve.

VALVE ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT

9) Remove 10 screws securing valve assembly.
10) Lift valve assembly up and out.
11) Remove both yellow/green ground wires from valve and valve bracket.
12) Replace valve assembly gasket if necessary.
13) Rotate HI/LO modulationg valve all the way to the left for HI position.
14) Install new valve assembly and reverse steps 11-1.
15) Test gas connections for leaks.
