Replacing Gateway Convertible Notebook Components

Make sure that the black plastic hinge on the system board touchpad connector is in
the raised position.

Insert the end of the touchpad cable between the black plastic hinge and the white
connector.

Press the black plastic hinge onto the touchpad cable.

Replace the chrome screw you removed in

Turn the convertible notebook so the bottom is facing up.

Replace the 16 black screws and 5 chrome screws on the bottom of the convertible
notebook.

Reassemble the convertible notebook.

The two small chrome screws fit into the hard drive bay. The three
chrome screws with the large heads fit in the modular bay.
