4. Adjustment

4-12. [F2]: Mode Dial Voltage Adjustment

(note)
1) When adjusting the mode dial voltage, supply
power (5V) to the camera from the [Specified NP-
60 Battery Jig] before setting the jig mode.
2) Always measure input voltage in the vicinity of the
DC IN terminal.
3) When reducing the voltage, adjust the stabilized
power supply to ensure that the voltage is not re-
duced excessively from the measured point. The
adjustment software may produce an error if com-
munication between the adjustment software and
the camera is disrupted. Restart the adjustment
software in this case.
<Step 1>
Select [F2] from [Adjustment Select Screen (Fig.4)] (ie
press the [F2] key on the computer).
---> The [Mode Dial Voltage Adjustment Preparation
Screen (Fig.12)] is displayed.
<Step 2>
Follow the instructions on the [Mode Dial Voltage Adjust-
ment Preparation Screen (Fig.12)], and make the follow-
ing preparations.
(1) Ensure that the NP-60 battery jig and camera are
connected.
* If not connected, return to the Jig Mode Setup Screen
and connect the NP-60 battery jig and camera.
(2) Place the camera in the Voice Record mode.
(3) Set voltage to 4.20V (+0.02V, 0.00V).
When preparations are complete, press the [Enter] key
on the computer.
---> The [5.00V Input Screen (Fig.13)] is displayed.
<Step 3>
Follow instructions on the [5.00V Input Screen (Fig.13)],
and adjust MODE_BATT_REF voltage. Set voltage to
5.00V(+0.01V, -0.01V), press the [Enter] key on the com-
puter.
---> Save the adjusted data to the flash ROM.
---> The [Mode Dial Voltage Adjustment Complete Screen
(Fig.14)] is displayed when the adjusted data is saved
normally.
<Step 4>
Press the [Enter] key on the computer while in the [Mode
Dial Voltage Adjustment Complete Screen (Fig.14)].
---> The [Adjustment Select Screen (Fig.4)] is displayed.
Always select [[F12]: End Setting] to complete adjustment.
(note)
Cautions for adjustments other than mode dial volt-
age adjustment.
(1) Battery Voltage Adjustment
---> Select Battery Voltage Adjustment from the Adjustment
Select Screen, and continue adjustment.
(2) Other than Battery Voltage Adjustment
---> Perform the following after [F12]: End Setting.
1) Remove the [NP-60 battery jig] from the camera.
2) Connect the [Power supply cable jig] to the camera.
3) Set the camera in the jig mode again.
4) Select an adjustment other than Mode Dial Voltage
Adjustment from the Adjustment Select Screen, and
continue adjustment.
