Using batteries

Be sure to use the AC adaptor when connecting to a PC.
If the batteries become exhausted while copying a song, the song may be corrupted.
Batteries that can be used
AA alkaline batteries (LR6)
AA nickel metal hydride batteries (HR15/51)
The R-09HR cannot recharge nickel metal hydride batteries. Please use a separately purchased battery
charger.

Check that the power is turned off.
If the power is on, turn it off. Press and hold the [POWER switch] on the R-09HR to turn
power on or off.

Open the battery case cover on the rear of the unit.

1. Turn the R-09HR over.
2. While gently pressing on the cover of the battery
compartment, slide it upward.

Insert the batteries.
Insert two AA batteries into the [Battery Compartment].
Be sure the positive and negative terminals are oriented
correctly.

Close the battery case cover.
1. Align portion (A) of the cover with portion (B) of the
recorder, then place the cover on the recorder.
2. Slide the cover downwards, and insert the cover's
tabs into the main unit.
Make sure to follow the procedure above when replacing the
cover. You risk damaging the cover as well as the recorder itself
if you insert the tabs first, then forcibly press the cover shut.
