  • Page 45: Adjusting Recording Levels

Recording Adjusting recording levels The R-09HR is designed to record a wide variety of sounds, but it can also make high-quality recordings when a recording level (volume) appropriate for the sound to be recorded is set. Level settings should be the highest input level (volume) that has no distortion. This principle is the same for both the [Internal Microphone] and external microphones.
  • Page 46 Position the microphone so it faces the sound you intend to record. Point the R-09HR’s microphone toward the target for recording. Enter recording-standby mode. When the [REC Button] of the remote control on the [Main Screen] is pressed, the remote indicator blinks slowly, and the unit enters recording-standby mode.
  • Page 47 However, when the remote indicator blinks faster than usual, the input volume is too loud. The remote indicator blinks at a fast rate when the input volume has reached the maximum input volume that the R-09HR can record (clipping stage), and any louder sounds cannot be recorded at the original volume.
