eNote
·It is recommended to use a card with SO Speed Class*1 with "Class 6" or higher when
recording motion pictures.
* 1 The SO Speed Class Rating is the speed standard for successive writes.
• When you set the picture quality to [I;J],
[g
or [EI], we recommend using a high-speed card
with "10MB/s" or greater displayed onthe package.
• The motion picture recording may stop in the middle when any of the following cards are used.
- Cards on which recording and deleting have been repeated many times
- Cards which have been formatted using a PC or other equipment
Before taking pictures, format (P36) the card in the unit. Because formatting will delete all data
recorded on the card, save important data beforehand on the computer.
• Motion pictures recorded in [AVCHD Lite] or [MOTION JPEG] may be played back with
poor picture or sound quality or playback may not be possible even when played back
with equipment compatible with these formats. Also, the recording information may not
be displayed properly. In this case, use this unit.
For details on AVCHD compatible devices, refer to the support sites below.
http://panasonic.jp/supportlglobal/cs/dsc/
(This Site is English only.)
• Motion picture recorded in [AVCHO Lite] cannot be played back on the equipment that is not
compatible to the AVCHO (conventional OVO recorder, etc.), so read the instruction manual for
the equipment in use for the action.
• Motion picture recorded in [AVCHO Lite] does not comply with the "OCF/Exif', so some
information will not display while playback.
• Sound from motion pictures (When [REC MODE] is set to [MOTION JPEG]) or pictures
with audio recorded by this camera cannot be played back by older models of
Panasonic digital cameras (LUMIX) launched before July 2008.
