and symbols whenever you are prompted to enter text (for
example, when adding a Contacts entry or when using email and
text messaging).

Keyboard Number & Symbol Keyboard
The keyboard that is displayed depends on the type of information
required.
QWERTY Keyboard
The QWERTY keyboard is activated whenever an alphanumeric
entry is required. The Alphabet keyboard layout looks similar to a
computer keyboard.
