Character Input
About Character Input
When adding to the Address Book, creating mail, etc. requires the
input of text. Kanji, Hiragana, Katakana, Alphabet, Numerals,
Symbols, Pictographs and Phrases can all be entered.
Character Assigned to Each Key
Each key represents a number of characters. By pressing the key
repeatedly, you can cycle through until the character you are
looking for is displayed.

※ [ 〜 ] can only be entered in double-width mode. Half-width mode gives 「〜」 .
※ 「ヮ」 (small size) can only be entered in double-width mode.
※ is a space.

※ Voiced sound symbol/Semi-voiced symbol and Large/Small letter changes can
be made after input by pressing . If you complete the input, then press ,
the input text will change to pictographs and symbols.

Changing the Input Mode
Pressing in the text input screen will display the input mode list.
To change input modes;
●Using , choose the input mode and press [Ｓｅｌｅｃｔ].
●Press ［Ｓｗｉｔｃｈ］ , choose the input mode and press [Ｓｅｌｅｃｔ].
●Press the Dial Key relating to the desired input mode on the input mode list.
※Dependent on each feature/function, the types of characters which can
be input will differ.

On the text input screen;
Press 5 times ......... 「お」
......... 「か」
Press once
（Cursor to the right）

（Voiced sound symbol）
......... 「き」
Press 2 times
●By pressing a key, a character is input. By continually pressing a key, the
character will change. By pressing , the character will change back.
●When you want to enter the same character twice, you should move the
cursor to the right after completing the first character.
●As you enter characters, the phone will predict what word you are trying
to input. Using , select the word/phrase you are trying to enter.
Press [Ｃｏｎｖｅｒｔ].
[おかがき] will change into Kanji. If you continue to
press , a list of other options will be displayed.
Using , select [岡垣] and press [Ｓｅｌｅｃｔ].
[岡垣] will be displayed.
