    Key Functions Earpiece lets you hear the caller and automated prompts. Main LCD (display) displays all the information needed to operate your phone, such as the call status, the Contacts list, the date and time, the signal and battery strength, etc. Navigation Key allows you to scroll through menus quickly and easily.

    Using Your Phone’s Battery and Charger WARNING Use only Sprint-approved or manufacturer-approved batteries and chargers with your phone. The failure to use a Sprint-approved or manufacturer-approved battery and charger may increase the risk that your phone will overheat, catch fire, or explode, resulting in serious bodily injury, death, or property damage.
  • Page 37 Installing the Battery To install the Li-Ion battery: To install, insert the battery into the opening on the back of the phone and gently press down until the latch snaps into place. Removing the Battery WARNING Do not handle a damaged or leaking Li-Ion battery as you can be burned.
  • Page 38 Charging the Battery Your phone’s Li-Ion battery is rechargeable and should be charged as soon as possible so you can begin using your phone. Keeping track of your battery’s charge is important. If your battery level becomes too low, your phone automatically turns off, and you will lose all the information you were just working on.

    Navigating Through Phone Menus The navigation key on your phone allows you to scroll through menus quickly and easily. The scroll bar to the right of the menu keeps track of your position in the menu at all times. To scroll through a menu, press the navigation key up or down. If you are in a first-level menu (after selecting an item in the main menu), you may also navigate to the previous or next first-level menu by pressing the navigation key left or right.

    Making and Answering Calls Holding Your Phone To maximize performance, do not obstruct the bottom portion of your phone where the internal antenna is located while using the phone. Correct Making Calls Placing a call from your phone is as easy as making a call from any landline phone.

    Sound Settings Ringer Types Ringer types help you identify incoming calls and messages. You can assign ringer types to individual Contacts entries, types of calls, and types of messages. With your phone’s advanced messaging capabilities, you can send and receive many different kinds of messages. Your phone’s messaging settings make text messaging even faster and easier by letting you decide how you would like to be notified of new messages, create a signature with each sent message,and create your own preset messages, to name just a few.

    TTY Use With Sprint Service A TTY (also known as a TDD or Text Telephone) is a telecommunications device that allows people who are deaf, hard-of-hearing, or who have speech or language disabilities to communicate by telephone. Your phone is compatible with select TTY devices. Please check with the manufacturer of your TTY device to ensure that it supports digital wireless transmission.
