Connecting Using Undecoded Scanner Emulation

To perform Undecoded Scanner Emulation, connect the scanner to a portable data terminal, or a controller which
collects the data and interprets it for the host.

Connect the Undecoded interface cable to the bottom of the scanner, as described in
1.

Connect the other end of the interface cable to the scanner port on the portable data terminal or controller.

Scan the appropriate bar codes in this chapter to configure the scanner.

CAUTION

The scanner should only be connected to 5 volt decoders. Connecting the scanner to a 12 volt
decoder will invalidate your warranty.
