Connecting to an IBM 468X/469X Host

This connection is made directly from the scanner to the host interface.

Connect the interface cable to the bottom of the scanner, as described in

Connect the other end of the interface cable to the appropriate port on the host (typically, Port 9).

Scan the appropriate bar codes in this chapter to configure the scanner.

NOTE The only required configuration is the port number. Most other scanner parameters are typically controlled
by the IBM system.
