    • The scan beam must cross every bar and space on the sym- bol (as in the left bar code shown below). • The larger the symbol, the farther away you should hold the scanner. • Hold the scanner closer for symbols with bars that are close together.
  • Page 6 Two Position Triggers 012345 012345 WRONG RIGHT Long Range and High Visibility scanners have a two position trig- ger. The first detent provides a collapsed aiming beam. The sec- ond enables the scan beam. Use the aiming beam to sight the bar code, then further depress the trigger.
