System Memory Specifications

The memory subsystem has four SIMM sockets divided into
two banks, SIM1 & SIM2 and SIM3 & SIM4. Install SIMM mod-
ules in pairs using the same type and speed in each bank. This
mainboard supports both Fast Page Mode (FPM) and EDO DRAM
modules. Modules from 2MB to 128MB are supported, either
single or double-sided. Total supported memory capacity is
256MB.

Memory Configurations

You can install any system memory combination as long as
you follow the basic requirement of installing identical modules
in both sockets of a bank, i.e.:
• All modules must be 5 Volt
• Same module memory capacity, e.g. 16MB (MegaBytes)
• Same DRAM memory type e.g. EDO
• Same operating speed, e.g. 60ns (nanoseconds)
Other than this requirement, there is no limitation on the va-
riety of possible combinations, so they are not listed here.
Note: It is possible to install more memory than the board
supports, e.g. four 128MB modules would total 512MB, but the
board would ignore 256MB of that. Do not install more than
256MB on this mainboard.
