Problem
I replace the
camera
batteries
frequently.
7-Troubleshooting
Possible cause Solution
Extended
Display use,
excessive fill
flash use, and
excessive
zoom use
consume a lot
of battery
power.
The Ni-MH
batteries you
are using
were
recharged
incorrectly.
Use the optical viewfinder
instead of Live View to take
pictures.
Use an HP AC power adapter
to power the camera when you
are using the Display for an
extended period of time and
when you are unloading
several images to your
computer.
Use fill flash only when
needed.
Use zoom only when needed.
Do not use ordinary alkaline
batteries. Purchase higher-
grade batteries, such as
"ultra" or "premium" grade
alkaline or photo lithium
batteries, or switch to
rechargeable Ni-MH batteries.
You must recharge both Ni-MH
batteries after fully draining
them four times for the
batteries to reach their
optimum capacity and
performance.
