Replacing the DVD or CD-ROM Drive

SC835 chassis models support either a slim 8x DVD-ROM, 24x CD or DVD-ROM
drive. Use these instructions in this section in the unlikely event that you must
replace any of these components.

Replacing or Installing the DVD Drive

Installing a DVD or CD-ROM Drive
1.
Power down and unplug the system
2.
Remove the chassis cover.
3.
If a new front port panel is not being installed, r
the drive bay The mini-bezel is the small grating that covers the drive bay.
Remove this by simply pulling it out of the bay.
If a new front port panel is being installed, remove the old drive by de-
pressing the release tab, then pulling the drive out of the chassis.
4.
Insert the new drive unit in the slot until the tab locks into place.
5.
Connect the data and power cables to the backplane and, if necessary,
motherboard.
