Omni Switch/Router Chassis

The Omni Switch/Router comes in 3-slot, 5-slot and
9-slot chassis types. All chassis support
switching modules, such as Ethernet (ESX-K), Gigabit
Ethernet (GSX-K), WAN (WSX), and voice (VSX)
modules.
o Warning o
If you have a five-slot chassis with a
single power supply, do not remove
the cover on the empty power supply
slot. In addition, if you have any
empty switching module slots in either
a three-slot or five-slot Omni Switch/
Router chassis, you must cover them
with blank panels (available from
Alcatel) to prevent your chassis from
overheating.
