Step 2
Enter the Manual program and set the belt speed to run at 4.0 mph (6.4 kph).
Step 3
If the striding belt has moved to the right, turn the right tension bolt 1/4 turn clockwise
l
and then turn the left tension bolt 1/4 turn counter-clockwise to start striding belt tracking
back to center of roller.
If the striding belt has moved to the left, turn the left tension bolt 1/4 turn clockwise and
l
then turn the right tension bolt 1/4 turn counter-clockwise to start striding belt tracking
back to center of roller.
Do not over tighten the tensioning bolts while making belt adjustments.
over tightening of bolts may over stretch and damage the striding belt as
well as place an unnecessary load on the roller bearings.
Step 4
Repeat adjustments until striding belt appears centered. Allow machine to continue running
for several minutes to observe if tracking remains stabilized.
Tensioning an existing striding belt
Step 1
Enter the Manual program and run unit for five minutes at 5.0 mph (8.0 kph).
DO NOT RUN ON BELT.
Step 2
Reduce the speed to 2.0 mph (3.2 kph). Walk on the treadmill, tightly grip the handrails and
attempt to stall the striding belt. If the belt slips, continue to Step 3. If it does not slip, the
tension is correct.
Step 3
Stop the treadmill and alternately turn the belt tensioning bolts 1/4-turn clockwise to tension,
not exceeding one full turn. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 until the belt no longer slips.
Step 4
Enter the Manual program and run the treadmill at 2.0 mph (3.2 kph) check to insure proper
tracking. If the Striding Belt drifts to the left or right see Tracking (Centering) an existing
or new striding belt on the previous page.
