Defining Call Handling Options

Several parameters are available for customizing the call handling behavior on the IP phones. These
parameters are listed below with a brief description of their function. These parameters are covered in
greater detail in Appendix A on page 61.

Description
Sets the policy for handling a preselected line on an idle phone when it
rings.
Enables or disables globally the call pop-up window that appears when an
incoming call arrives. Reg.x.CallerIdPopup selectively enables or disables
the call pop-up window on individual lines.
Returns a SIP 486 Busy Here signal to incoming calls when the DND mode
is enabled.
Redirects the call to the URI specified in DndRedirectAddress after the
time delay (in seconds) specified in DndDelay.
Enables or disables HFAAI notification. If enabled, a 600 ms tone is played
before an HFAAI call is presented on the phone.
Indicates the number of seconds before the hold reminder tone is played.
Specifies which line will be preselected when idle and then used for call
origination when the phone goes off-hook. The IdleSelectOrder parameter
further defines the policy for selecting a specific physical line key should

Enables or disables playing a recorded tone if the user attempts to seize an
SCA line, but fails (e.g., another user seizes the call first).

the caller ID pop-up window is automatically closed.
Allows the user to answer an incoming call by pressing the line key on a
ringing line. If the phone is idle, pressing the line key will activate the
speakerphone.
Allows the user to originate a call when an idle line key is pressed. If the
phone is idle, the speakerphone is activated.
Enables placing deselected calls on hold automatically if another line is
selected. Otherwise, the deselected call will be dropped.
