6. Check the cutter deck drive belt and blade belt.
1. Lower the cutter deck by using the cutter deck height adjusting lever, and
open the engine hood.
2. Inspect the cutter
worn or damaged,

replace the belts as described on page 48m50.

3. Check belt tension at the tensioner arm. The mark on the tensioner arm
should
align with the tension indicatbr. If not, turn the adjusting knob to
align the mark with the indicator.
CAUTION: If the lawn tractor has been running, the muffler will be very
hot. Allow it to cool before proceeding.
