CHAPTER 6 ADJUSTMENTS AND UPDATING OF SETTINGS,
REQUIRED AFTER PARTS REPLACEMENT
<What you should prepare>
1) Computer (Windows
Create the "hl5200" folder in the C drive, for example.
2) HL-5240/5250DN/5270DN/5280DW target printer
3) USB cable (one piece)
4) FILEDG32.EXE file
Copy the installed program into the "hl5200" folder that has been created in the C drive.
5) Target firmware: LZXXXX_$.BLF (firmware of the printer)
LZXXXX_$.BLF
Extract it and copy the extracted files into the "hl5200" folder that has been created in the
C drive.
6) Setting file of the default paper size:
Extract this file to set the default paper size.
S5200E (A4 size), s5200U (Letter size), s5200I (A4 size, Israeli font setting for Israel),
AL_CHN.pjl (A4 size, Thin paper setting for China)
7) BR_DEVELOP.zip file
Copy it into the "hl5200" folder that has been created in the C drive. Extract the copied
file.
8) MAINTE.EXE file
Copy it into the "hl5200" folder that has been created in the C drive. Extract the copied file
and run the bramainte.exe file by double-clicking.
Refer to the following steps for installing the printer driver.
