This chapter shows you how to configure your ZyWALL for Internet access.

26.1 Introduction to Internet Access Setup

Use information from your ISP along with the instructions in this chapter to set up your ZyWALL to
access the Internet. There are three different menu 4 screens depending on whether you chose
Ethernet, PPTP or PPPoE Encapsulation. Contact your ISP to determine what encapsulation type
you should use.

26.2 Ethernet Encapsulation

If you choose Ethernet in menu 4 you will see the next menu.

Enter the name of your Internet Service Provider, e.g., myISP. This information is for
identification purposes only.
Press [SPACE BAR] and then press [ENTER] to choose Ethernet. The encapsulation
method influences your choices for the IP Address field.
Press [SPACE BAR] and then [ENTER] to select Standard, RR-Toshiba
(RoadRunner Toshiba authentication method), RR-Manager (RoadRunner Manager
authentication method), RR-Telstra or Telia Login. Choose a RoadRunner flavor if
your ISP is Time Warner's RoadRunner; otherwise choose Standard.
Enter the login name given to you by your ISP.
