If you would like to print on an input sheet (for
example, forms or stationery), place the input sheet
face down in the paper tray, with the top of the page
toward the rear.
Forms that have been printed out by a laser

printer are not suitable for further printing.
Th is can lead to a paper jam. If a paper jam should
occur, follow the suggestions set forth in the chap-
ter entitled Troubleshooting / Paper Jam.
Press the paper down until the lever (A) snaps into

place at the rear of the paper tray.

Place the cover back on the paper tray. Push the
paper tray into the fax machine all the way to the
stopping point.
Do not pull out the paper tray while the fax

machine is in the process of printing. Th is can
lead to a paper jam. If a paper jam should occur,
follow the suggestions set forth in the chapter en-
titled Troubleshooting / Paper Jam.

ISDN Systems
Your fax machine is an analogue fax machine (Group 3).
It is not an ISDN fax machine (Group 4), and therefore
it cannot be operated directly on an ISDN connection.
In order to do this, you need either an analogue adapter
or a connection for analogue terminals. For additional in-
formation, please consult the user manual of your ISDN
system or ask your telephone service provider.
Private Branch Exchange / PABX
Private branch exchanges (PABX) are customary in all
larger businesses. Before sending a fax, you must press an
outside line access code in order to get a connection to the
public telephone network from a private branch exchange.

If you are operating the fax machine within a PABX, use
function 15 to set the machine to the appropriate length
for internal numbers and to set the code that must be
dialled in order to access a public telephone line.
