Place the battery cover on the cordless
handset, making sure it snaps firmly
into place.

Place the cordless handset in the
machine cradle with the dial pad facing
up (or place the cordless handset
facing forward in the charger if
applicable).

Let the new batteries charge for at least
12
hours.
Battery disposal
The batteries are Nickel Metal Hydride batteries. The batteries must be
disposed of properly. Contact local agencies for information on recycling and
disposal plans in your area.
Wiping the charger contacts
To ensure that the battery charges properly, wipe the charger contacts on the
cordless handset and in the machine cradle (and in the separate charger if
your model came with a charger) once a month with a cotton swab.
