■ Fuel Gauge

Once the starter key is turned to the ON position, the
needle on this gauge will first jump to "empty" (in
order to indicate that the gauge is operating properly)
and move to a position that indicates the actual fuel
level.
IMPORTANT
●Never allow the fuel tank to become completely
empty or air may enter the fuel system and
necessitate bleeding of the whole fuel system.
(See "Refill the Fuel Tank" on page 14-3.)

■ Engine Coolant Warning Light

This warning light will turn on if the temperature of
the engine's coolant exceeds a predetermined level.
! WARNING
To avoid personal injury:
●Always allow the temperature of the coolant to
drop sufficiently before attempting to remove
the radiator cap.
●Always loosen the cap slightly first in order to
release the internal pressure before attempting
to remove the radiator cap completely.
IMPORTANT
●If the engine coolant warning light does turn on,
reduce the load on the tractor immediately, run the
engine at an idle until the light turns off, and shut
off the engine. Wait until the engine has cooled off
completely, and check to see that there is:
(1) Sufficient coolant in the radiator and reserve tank
(2) No clogging of the radiator fins and screen
(3) Sufficient tension in the fan belt
See "14. PERIODIC SERVICE" for more
information on maintenance procedures.
●If the coolant warning light turns on again even
after being sure of the checkpoints above, shut off
the engine immediately and contact your local Cub
Cadet Yanmar dealer.
