Important safety information
Especially about cordless telephones
Priva��: The same features that make a �ordless telephone �onvenient �reate
some limitations. Telephone �alls are transmitted between the telephone
base and the handset b� radio waves, so there is a possibilit� that �our
�ordless telephone �onversations �ould be inter�epted b� radio re�eivin�
equipment within ran�e of the �ordless handset. For this reason, �ou should
not think of �ordless telephone �onversations as bein� as private as those on
�orded telephones.
Ele�tri�al power: The telephone base of this �ordless telephone must be
�onne�ted to a workin� ele�tri�al outlet whi�h is not �ontrolled b� a wall
swit�h. Calls �annot be made from the handset if the telephone base is
unplu��ed, swit�hed off or if the ele�tri�al power is interrupted.
Potential TV interferen�e: Some �ordless telephones operate at frequen�ies
that ma� �ause interferen�e to TVs and VCRs. To minimize or prevent su�h
interferen�e, do not pla�e the telephone base of the �ordless telephone
near or on top of a TV or VCR. If interferen�e is experien�ed, movin� the
�ordless telephone farther awa� from the TV or VCR will often redu�e or
eliminate the interferen�e.
Re�har�eable batteries: This produ�t �ontains ni�kel-metal h�dride re�har�eable
batteries. Exer�ise �are in handlin� batteries in order not to �reate a short
�ir�uit with �ondu�tive material su�h as rin�s, bra�elets, and ke�s. The batter�
or �ondu�tor ma� overheat and �ause harm. Observe proper polarit� between
the batter� and the batter� �har�er.
Ni�kel-metal h�dride re�har�eable batteries: Dispose of these batteries in a safe
manner. Do not burn or pun�ture. Like other batteries of this t�pe, if burned or
pun�tured, the� �ould release �austi� material whi�h �ould �ause injur�.

lo�ations a��eptin� spent Ni-MH batteries.
