Uninstallation of the printer driver

Macintosh

If it becomes necessary to delete the printer driver, for example, when you want to reinstall the printer driver,
delete the driver according to the following procedure.
5.2.1

For Macintosh OS X (v10.5)

On the "Apple" menu, select System Preferences.

Select the [Print & Fax] icon.

Select the print name to be deleted, and then click the Delete [-] button on the lower left side of the
dialog box.

When the confirmation message appears, click the [OK] button. Selected printer is deleted.

Click the close [x] button on the upper left corner of the [Print & Fax] dialog box.
– Following procedure is not necessary. It is for people who would like to delete unnecessary files.

Drag the [GENERIC_95BW-1.gz] file, which is located in [Library]- [Printers] - [PPDs]- [Contents] -
[Resources] of HDD to the [Trash] icon.

Drag the [95BW-1] folder, which is located in [Library] - [Printers] - [GENERIC] to the [Trash] icon.

Drag the [GENERIC_95BW-1_105.pkg] file, which is located in the [Library] - [Receipts] to the [Trash]
icon.

Restart the computer.
This completes the printer driver uninstallation.

For Macintosh OS X (v10.3/v10.4)

Open the [Printer Setup Utility] (or [Print Center]) located in "Applications" - "Utilities" of "Hard Disk".

Select the printer name to be deleted, and then click the [Delete].
The selected printer is deleted.

Close the printer list.

Drag the following file, which is located in "Library" - "Printers" - "PPDs" - "Contents" - "Resources" -
"en.lproj" of "Hard Disk", to the "Trash" icon.
– "GENERIC 95BW-1.gz"

Delete the unnecessary files from "Library" - "Printers".
– Drag the "95BW-1" folder, which is located in "Library" - "Printers" - "GENERIC", to the "Trash"
icon.

Drag the following file, which is located in "Library" - "Receipts", to the Trash icon.
– GENERIC_95BW-1_103.pkg

Restart the computer.
– This completes the printer driver uninstallation.
