Configuring connection options

The softkey structure for configuring connection options on the Speed Touch 591s is
shown below.
Selecting the two connection endpoints
Connections in the Speed Touch 591s are created between the user and the network
ports and are thus internal to the Speed Touch 591s. A connection in the Speed Touch
591s is identified by its two endpoints—one at the user port, the other at the network
port. The two endpoints are selected as described below. Refer to Alcatel 7350 ASAM
Technical Practices for further information on endpoint identifiers.
Procedure 9-1 Selecting the two connection endpoints
CONFIG — CONNECT — <U>
where endpoint is in the format <N;0/vci> and vci is a VCI number in the range 0 to 255
Displaying connection information
Connection information for the endpoints of the PVCs can be displayed on the Speed
Touch 591s. For further details of the connection information available, refer to
Alcatel 7350 ASAM Technical Practices.
