For the seismic rack:
a.
Pull down on the spring-loaded handles on the hinge assembly at the top of the door so
that the small pin securing the door to the hinge retracts.
b.
Move the top of the door away from the rack so that the spring-loaded pin is free of the
hinge assembly.
CAUTION:
Moving the top of the door too far away from the rack can bend the pin holding the
bottom of the door.
c.
Lift the door so that the hole at the bottom of the door is lifted free of the pin at the bottom
of the rack. Ensure that the plastic bushing remains on the pin.
For the seismic rack R2:
a.
Pull the top and bottom hinge pins up and out of the hinge barrels.
b.
Pull the door straight out to remove the door from the rack.
c.
Plastic bushings are installed between the barrels of the door and the rack. For the lower
hinge, this bushing is installed into the bottom of the rack barrel. When the door is
removed, this bushing may fall free. Store the hinge in a safe place until the door is
reinstalled and the bushing can be reinstalled between the door and rack barrels.
To reinstall the door, reverse the procedure.

Removing the side panels

If your rack has side panels, also remove them before installing mounting brackets and other
hardware.

For the seismic rack: Use a slotted screwdriver to gently unfasten the four quarter-turn fasteners
from the side panel.
For the seismic rack R2: Using a T30 torx screwdriver, unscrew the six screws per side panel.
Pull down on the side panel's latch and lift the panel up and out of the bottom of the rack.
2.
Disconnect the ground cable from the lower inside corner of the side panel using an 1 1–mm
socket wrench.
3.
Lift the side panel from the rail on which it is mounted, and remove it from the rack.
To reinstall the side panels, reverse the procedure.
Do not move the top of the door further away from the rack than necessary.
