Custom setting – Changing the
Closed Caption setting
DVD includes so-called "closed captions" which
describe the scene to persons with impaired
hearing. It is possible to turn the closed captions
ON and OFF.
NOTE
When the settings are changed, the old settings are
overwritten. Make a note of the current settings before
making changes. The settings are not cleared even
when the vehicle's battery is disconnected.

In the stop mode, press and hold the SET button
for at least 2 seconds.
The default setting menu appears.
NOTE
This operation cannot be performed in the PRE-STOP
mode. When the disc is being played, press the
twice to set the stop mode.

Use the Joystick to select "CUSTOM SETUP",
then press the ENT button.

Move the Joystick up and down to select
"CLOSED CAPTION", then press the ENT
button.

Move the Joystick up and down to select "ON"
or "OFF", then press the ENT button.
ON
Displays the closed captions.
OFF
Does not display the closed captions.
Set to OFF at time of shipment from factory.
NOTES
• A closed caption compatible monitor is required to
display the closed captions.
• Please be aware that closed captions are different
from titles.
• Press the RTN button to return to the previous screen.

Press and hold the SET button for at least 2

The settings are stored and the set up mode is
canceled.
