Depending on your preference, you may adjust the stitch
density within the blue zone on the stitch length control.
• For a higher density, turn the stitch length control toward "0".
Tight stitches for lightweight fabrics.
• For a lower density, turn the stitch length control toward "1".
(_) Loose stitches for heavyweight fabrics.
NOTE:Always check a buttonhole on a scrap of fabric to
make sure the adjustment satisfies you.
• Starting to sew
Snap the buttonhole foot (J) on the presser foot holder.
Carefully mark the buttonhole length on the fabric.
Place the fabric under the foot, with the buttonhole marking
running toward you.

Move the slider (A) toward you, so that the red arrow (C) on the
slider aligns with the start mark (B). Lower the presser foot.
NOTE:The markings on the slider are engraved in
centimeters.

Set the stitch selector at rl.
Sew forward until you reach the
front mark of your buttonhole. Stop sewing at a left stitch.
