Configuring the mirrored port and destination port

When enabled, the probe port monitors all traffic received and transmitted on the monitored port.
A session is operationally active if and only if both a destination port and at least one source port is
configured. If neither is true, the session is inactive.
A port configured as a destination port acts as a mirroring port when the session is operationally active. If
it is not, the port acts as a normal port and participates in all normal operation with respect to transmitting
traffic.
1. Specify the source and destination mirror ports:

Force10 (Config) #monitor session 1 source interface 1/0/4
Force10 (Config) #monitor session 1 destination interface 1/0/5
2. Enable port security from the Interface Config mode for the specific interface. Access the mode with
the command
