Child restraint systems
Vauxhall child restraint sy stems are
designed specifically for y our vehicle and
thus provide optimum safety for your child
in the event of im pact. The use of a
Vauxhall C hild restraint sy stem is therefore
recom mended.

Warning
While using a c hild restra int system on
the front p assenger seat, the airbag
system s for the front passenger seat must
be d eactivated; if not, the triggering of
the front or side airbag poses the risk of
fata l injury to the child.
This is espec ially the case if back wards-
fac ing child restra int sy stems are used on
the front p assenger seat.

Your child should be transported facing
rearwards in the vehicle as long as
possible. It is appropriate to change the
sy stem when the child 's head can no longer
be p roperly supported at ey e height. The
child' s cerv ical v erteb rae are still very weak
and in an acc id ent they suffer less stress in
the semi-prone rearward position than
when sitting upright.

tall should only trav el in an ap prop ria te

z When transporting c hildren, use the child
restra int system s suitable for the child's
weight.
z Ensure that the c hild restraint system to
be installed is c om patible with the
vehicle type.
z The covers of the Vauxhall child restraint
sy stem can b e wiped clean.
z Do not stick any thing on the child
restra int systems and do not cover them
with any other m aterials.
z A child restraint sy stem which has been
subjected to stress in an accident must
be replaced.
z Ensure that the m ounting loc ation of the
child restraint system within the vehic le is
correct.
z You should also ob serve the instructions
on installa tion and use supplied with the
child restraint sy stem.
