Electronic immo bilizer
The sy stem checks whether the vehicle m ay
be sta rted using the key that has been
inserted. If the k ey is recognised as
"authorised" the vehicle can be started.
The c heck is carried out via a transponder
housed in the k ey.
The electronic immobiliser is automatically
activated when the key is removed from
the starter switch.
Control i nd icator for imm obilizer
The control indica tor lig hts up when the
ignition is switc hed on then g oes out.
If the control indicator flashes rapidly after
the ignition is switched on, there is a fa ult in
the immobilizer system.
z Turn ignition off and remove key ,
z wait a pproximately two seconds,
z then repeat starting procedure.
If the control indicator fails to extinguish,
try to start the engine using the spare key .
Obtain assistance from a workshop. We
recommend that you consult your Vauxhall
Authorised Repairer.

The immobilizer does not lock the doors.
Therefore, after leaving the vehicle, always
lock it and switch on the Vaux hall alarm
system 3.
The Ca r Pass contains all the v ehicle's data
and therefore m ust not be kept in the
vehicle.
