Locking and unlocking

Locking/unlocking the car from
outside
The remote control can be used to lock/
unlock the doors and the boot lid simultane-
ously. The doors can be unlocked using the
detached key blade.
WARNING!
Be aware that you can be locked in the car
if it is locked from the outside.
Automatic relocking
If none of the doors or the boot lid is opened
within two minutes of unlocking, all are
locked again automatically. This function
prevents the car from being left unlocked
unintentionally. For cars with alarms, see
page 99.
Unlocking the boot lid
Proceed as follows in order to unlock the
boot lid only:
– Press the boot lid button on the remote
control.
If the doors are locked when the boot lid is
closed, the boot lid remains unlocked until
the car is locked with the remote control or
from inside.

All the doors and the boot lid can be locked
or unlocked simultaneously using the lock
button by the door handle.
Unlocking
– Press the upper section of the lock
button.
Locking
– Press the lower section of the lock button.
Pull the handle twice to unlock the doors
and open them from inside.

Lock indicator

An LED on the inside of the door in question
comes on for approx. five minutes after the
car has been locked with the remote control,
or with the Keyless drive system (see
page 95).
When the car is locked from the inside and
the car is running the LEDs are on continu-
ously.
