Infotainment system
CD and MD functions
Random
When Random is active, the left or
right arrow of the navigation button
can be used to scroll between
randomly selected tracks.
CD and MD player
This function plays CD or MD tracks in
random order. RND is shown on the display
while the function is active.
Activating/deactivating Random
– Start CD or MD playback.
– Press MENU and then ENTER.
– Scroll to Random and press ENTER.
CD changer
This function selects discs and tracks in
random order. RND or RND ALL is shown on
the display while the function is active.
NOTE! It is only possible to scroll between
random tracks on the current disc.
Activating/deactivating Random
– Start CD playback.
– Press MENU and then ENTER.
– Scroll to Random and press ENTER.
– Scroll to Single disc or All discs and
press ENTER.
Scan
Scan plays the first ten seconds of a CD or
MD track.

– Press SCAN.
– Press EXIT to continue playback of the
track.
Disc text
Title information stored on a CD can be

shown on the display .
Activating/deactivating
– Start CD playback.
– Press MENU and then ENTER.
– Scroll to Disc text and press ENTER.
Disc eject
For reasons of traffic safety, a CD will remain
in its ejected position max. 12 seconds
before being drawn back into the player,
which is then paused. The player is reacti-
vated using CD/MD (5).
Single discs – CD and MD
– Press the eject button (3).
All discs – CD changer
– Press the eject button (3) for more than
2 sec.
The entire magazine is emptied disc by disc.
The message Ejecting all is shown on the
display.

player and CD changer only.
CDs
Using CD discs burned at home could result
in poor or non-existent sound. Music CD
discs complying with the ISO 60908
standard provide the best sound quality.
IMPORTANT!
Only use standard discs (12 cm in
diameter). Do not use CDs with adhesive
disc labels. The heat in the CD player
may cause the label to come off,
damaging the CD player.
