Media player

You can use Media player to play audio files in a variety of formats,
including MP3, MP4, AAC, eAAC+ and WMA, as well as ringing tones,
recorded audio and video files in the 3gp format. These files can be
transferred to your Vertu phone using Vertu PC Suite. In addition, music
files saved on the memory card can also be played just as you would to
listen to music or videos saved on the phone memory.
To start Music player, open your Vertu phone and select Menu » Additions »
Media player.
Once you have started to play music or video files while your Vertu phone
is open, you can still continue to control the player from the outer display
even after closing the fold. For more information on controlling Media
player while the fold is closed, see "What you can do on the outer display"
(page 20) » "Listening to Music on Media player" (page 20).
Music files that you have transferred to your Vertu phone are added to the
media library of Media player.
Tip: To completely stop the music player while music is being played,
press and hold the [End] key.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth technology enbables you to easily share images and video clips,
and take advantage of wireless connectivity by using a compatible
Bluetooth headset. You first need to pair with the other device which should
be within 10 m of your phone.
To display the Bluetooth menu, open your Vertu phone and either select
Menu » Tools » Bluetooth or Menu » Settings » Connectivity »
Bluetooth.
Use the Bluetooth menu to turn Bluetooth on, and the Conn. to audio
access. or Paired devices menu to search other Bluetooth devices that
can be connected. Then, pair your phone with any of the detected devices
by entering the four to sixteen digit passcode agreed beforehand with other

party. You can also change your Vertu phone's device name to be
recognised by other Bluetooth devices using My phone's name, and
specify whether to make your Vertu phone discoverable using My phone's
visibility.
Tip: Using Bluetooth may drain the device battery faster. Switch off
Bluetooth when it's not being used, to maximise battery performance.
Web
Warning: Only download and use files from sources that offer
adequate security and protection against harmful software.
A VERTU Club member can immediately use the Web service by inserting
a VERTU Club SIM card.
To use the Web service, open your Vertu phone and select Menu » VERTU
Club » Web from the Home screen.
You can also view Vertu Web, an exclusive web site for VERTU Club
members, following one of the procedures below:
Open your Vertu phone and select Menu » VERTU Club » Web » Home

Open your Vertu phone and press the [Selection] key (Right) (if the default

Open your Vertu phone and press and hold the [ 0 ] key

Although some SIM cards from other service providers, especially those
from outside Japan, may offer you Internet access, only VERTU Club SIM
cards will allow you to access Vertu Web. In addition, you may need extra
settings for Internet connection if you are using those non-VERTU Club
SIM cards. Using those SIM cards may also incur very expensive data
transmission fee, depending on the situation. For information on charges,
necessary settings and other service conditions, contact your service
provider or Vertu Customer Service (P.35).
