Profiles (ringing tones / sound settings)
All tones settings such as ringing tone, ringing volume, vibrating alert, or
the sound effects such as Keypad tones, are managed by the Profiles
application.
For example, you can set a loud ringing tone so as not to miss incoming
calls when you are outdoors, or set Message alert tone to beep just once so
that you can avoid disturbing other people while in an important meeting.
Like this, you can set up separate Profile lists according to various
assumable situations or usage.
Checking and changing profile settings
You can use the following seven profiles on your Vertu phone:
General

Manner

Meeting

Outdoor

To check the profile settings:
1. Open the fold and press the [End] key until the Home screen appears.
2. Select Menu » Settings » Profiles.
3. Select a desired profile.
4. Select Personalise.
5. Move the [Navigation] key up and down to check the current settings.
6. Select Back to return to the previous display. Or press the [End] key to
return to the Home screen.

To change the profile settings:
1. Open the fold and press the [End] key until the Home screen appears.
2. Select Menu » Settings » Profiles.
3. Select a desired profile.
4. Select Personalise.
5. Use the [Navigation] key to change the settings as necessary.
6. Select Save.

Switching profiles

You can use either of the following methods to switch profiles:
Quick operation using the [Power] key:
1. Open the fold and press the [End] key until the Home screen appears.
2. Press the [Power] key (
your Vertu phone.
3. Move the [Navigation] key up and down to select the profile to be activated.

Switching from the profile settings screen:
1. Open the fold and press the [End] key until the Home screen appears.
2. Select Menu » Settings » Profiles.
3. Select a desired profile.
4. Select Activate.
Tip: You can select Timed instead of Activate in step 4 above, to set
a timer for a specifc profile (a profile other than Flight) so that it is
conditionally activated on the phone during a specified timer period.
For example, you may want to activate the Manner profile during an
important meeting, and then to automatically resume the General
profile when the meeting is over.
