The Output, Sync, and Modulation
In connector shields are allowed to float

at
42 V (peak) relative to earth
ground. However, these shields are all
connected to each other through inter-
nal circuitry. Attempting to drive them
to different potentials can result in high
currents that may damage your
instrument.
