■ Cell broadcast

service)
In the Messaging main view,
select
Options
Cell
You may be able to receive messages
on various topics, such as weather or
traffic conditions from your service
provider. For available topics and
relevant topic numbers, contact your
service provider. In the main view
you can see:
• the status of the topic:
new, subscribed messages and
- for new, unsubscribed
messages.
• the topic number, topic name,
and whether it has been flagged
( ) for follow-up. You will be
notified when messages
belonging to a flagged topic have
arrived.
Options in Cell broadcast:
Open,
Subscribe
/Unsubscribe,
Hotmark
/
Remove
Settings, Help, and Exit.
Note: A packet data (GPRS)
connection may prevent cell
broadcast reception.
Contact your network
operator for the correct
GPRS settings. See
data (General Packet Radio
Service, GPRS)" on page
broadcast.

You can send service requests, such
as activation commands for network
services (also known as USSD
commands), to your service provider.
For more information, contact your
service provider. To send a request:
• in standby mode or when you
have an active call, key in the
command number(s) and press
Send, or
• if you need to enter letters as
well as numbers, select
Messaging
Options
Service
command.

divided into groups according to the
different message types.

Settings for text messages

Go to
Messaging
and select
Settings
Text message
open the following list of settings:
Message centres

defined.
