Storage (over 30 days)
At the end of eachyear, prepare the unit for storage as
follows.
The Engine
For storage information, see the the engine manufacturer's
instructions.
The Battery
1. Remove the battery.
2. Cleanthe battery terminals of any deposits.
3. Chargethe battery. See the instructions on "How To
PrepareAnd ChargeThe Battery".
4. Store the battery in a cool, dry place.
NOTE:After a long time in storage, charge the battery.
The Fuel System
_ ARNING: Do not drain the gasoline inside a
building or near a fire. Do not smoke becausethe
fumes from the fuel can cause an explosion.
1. Start the engine.

Run the engine until the fuel tank and the carburetor are
out of fuel and the engine stops.
After storage, make sure you use fresh fuel.
Cleanthe Unit
1. Cleanthe dirt and grass from the engine.
2. Cleanthe mower housing.
