INTRODUCTION TO VCR Plus+ ®
After a few simple steps, the VCR Plus+ *
programming feature will allow you to program your
VCR for unattended recordings by simply entering a
PlusCode* number. The PlusCode numbers are the
3 to 8 digit numbers found after each program in
most local TV listings or in IV Guide ® as shown in
the sample page to the .right. These PlusCode
numbers provide your VCR with all the information it
needs to make an unattended recording, so you
don't have to program start time, stop time, channel
number, or date t .
Because the channel numbers you receive in your
home differ from area to area, VCR Plus+ has
assigned a unique channel number to each station
you receive.
Depending on the antenna or cable-TV connection
that you have used to hook-up your VCR, you may
need to use these channel numbers to program your
VCR with your local channel information before you
can record with VCR Plus+.
Look for a chart that lists the two (or three)-digit VCR
Plus+ assigned channel numbers in any publication
that carries the PlusCode numbers. You will need
this chart to complete the Channel Mapping set-up
for your antenns/cable connection.
