[] CHECK IGNITION OF SURFACE
BURNERS
Operation of all cooktop and oven burners should be
checked after the range and gas supply lines hove been
carefully checked for leaks.
Electric Ignition Models
Select a top burner knob and simultaneously push in
and turn to LITE position. You will hear a clicking sound
indicating proper operation of the spark module. Once the
air has been purged from the supply lines, burners should
light within/4 seconds. After burner lights, rotate knob out
of the LITE position. Try each burner in succession until
all burners hove been checked.
Quality of Flames
The combustion quality of burner flames needs to be
determined visually.
(A) Yellow flames-
Call for service
(B) Yellow tips on
outer cones--
Normal for LP gas
(C) Soft blue
flames--Normal
for natural gas
If burner flames look like (A), call for service. Normal
burner flames should look like (B)or (C), depending on
the type of gas you use.
With LP gas, some yellow tipping on outer cones
is normal.
[] CHECK IGNITION OF OVEN BURNER
The oven is designedto operate quietly and automatically.
To operatethe oven, pressthe Bakepad and then press the
number pads until 350° appears in the display.Touch the Start
pad.After BO-90seconds,the oven burner will ignite and burn
until the set temperature is reached.Theoven burner will
continue to cycle on and off as necessaryto maintain the oven
at the temperature indicated by the display.
To check ignition of the broil burner,touch the Broil Hi/Lo pad
and then the Start pad.After B0-90 seconds,the broil burner
will ignite.
Electric ignition models requireelectrical power to operate.
In case of a power outage, the oven burnerson these models
cannot be lit manually with a match. Gaswill not flow unless
the glow bar is hot.
If the oven is in usewhen a power outage occurs,the burner
will shut off and cannot be rent until power is restored.
