Burner Caps, Bases
and Heads
Before removing the burnercaps and heads (on
some models),remember their size and location.
Replace them in the same locationoffer cleaning.
NOTE: D onotusesteelwoolor scouring powders
to cleonthe burnerports.
Burnercaps
Liftoff when cool.Washburnercapsin hot,soapy
water and rinsewith cleanwater.Youmay scour
with a plasticscouringpadto removeburned-on
food particles.
Burner Bases (onsomemodels)
Theroundburnerbases arenot removable. Only
the capsmay beremovedforcleaning.
Tocleanthe burnerbases, u sesoapywaterand a
plasticscouringpad.Wipecleanwith a dampcloth.
Makesurethat no water getsinto the burner
bases.Allowthem to dry fully beforeusing.

rangefor cleaning.
Forproperignition,makesurethe smallhole
in the sectionthat fits overthe electrodeiskept
open.A sewingneedle or wiretwist-tieworks
wellto unclogit.
Theslitsin theburnerheadsmustbekept cleon
at alltimesforan even, u nhampered flame.
Cloggedor dirty burnerportsor electrodes
will notallowthe burnerto operateproperly.
Anyspillon or aroundan electrode must
be carefullycleaned. T akecareto not hit an
electrode with anythinghard or it couldbe
damaged.
Cleanthe burnerheadsroutinely,especiallyafter
bad spillovers, w hichcouldclogthe openings. L ift
off whencool.
Toremoveburned-onfood,soakthe burnerheads
in a solutionof mildliquiddetergentand hot water
for 20-30 minutes. F ormorestubbornstains,use
a toothbrush.
After cleaning
Beforeputtingthe burnercaps,heads(onsome
models) and ovalhead/capassemblyback,shake
out excess water and thendry them thoroughly
by settingin a warm ovenfor 30 minutes.
Replacement Burner Heads (onsomemodels)
Replace burnerheadsoverthe electrodes on
the cooktop,in thecorrectlocationsaccordingto
theirsize.Thereis onesmall,one medium,one
largeand one extra largeburnerhead.
