INSTRUCTIONS
Read these instructions
completely and carefully.
Improper installation, adjustment,
alteration,
service
or maintenance can cause injury or property
damage. Refer to this manual. For assistance or

information, consult a qualified installer,
service agency, manufacturer
(dealer) or the gas
supplier.
Never reuse old flexible connectors. The use
of old flexible connectors con couse gos leoks ond
personol injury. Alwoys use NEW flexible connectors
when instolling o gos opplionce.
IMPORTANT

from oven before connecting g os ond
electricol supply to ronge.
CAUTION - Do not
o ttempt to operote
the oven of this ronge during o power foilure (Electric
Ignition models only).
• Hove your ronge instolled by o quolified instoller.
• Your ronge must be electricolly grounded in
occordonce with Iocol codes or, in the obsence
of Iocol codes, in occordonce with the Notionol
Electricol Code (ANSI/NFPA70, Iotest edition).
In Conodo, electricol grounding must be in
occordonce with the current CSA C22.1 Conodion
Electricol Code Port 1 ond/or Iocol codes. See
Electricol Connections in this section.
• Before instolling your ronge on linoleum or ony other
synthetic floor covering, moke sure the floor covering
con withstond 180°F without shrinking, worping or
discoloring. Do not instoll the ronge over corpeting
unless o sheet of 1/4" thick plywood or similor
insulotor is ploced between the ronge ond corpeting.
• Moke surethewollcoverings o roundtherongecon
withstond h eotgeneroted by therongeup to 200°F.
• Avoid plocing cobinets obove the ronge. To reduce
the hozord coused by reoching over the open flomes
of operoting burners, instoll o ventilotion hood over
the ronge thot projects forword ot leost 5" beyond
the front of the cobinets.
• The ventiloting hood must be constructed of sheet
metol not less thon 0.0122" thick. Instoll obove the
cooktop with o cleoronce of not less thon 1/4"
between the hood ond the underside of the
combustible moteriol or metol cobinet. The hood
must be ot leost os wide os the opplionce ond
centered over the opplionce. Cleoronce between the
cooking surfoce ond the ventilotion hood surfoce
MUST NEVERBE LESSTHAN 24 INCHES.
EXCEPTION:Instollotion of o listed microwove oven or
cooking opplionce over the cooktop sholl conform to
the instollotion instructions pocked with thot opplionce.
If cobinets ore ploced obove the ronge, ollow o
minimum cleoronce of 30" between the cooking
surfoce ond the bottom of unprotected cobinets.
If o 30" cleoronce between cooking surfoce ond
overheod combustible moteriol or metol cobinets
connot be mointoined, protect the underside of the
cobinets obove the cooktop with not less thon 1/4"
insuloting millboord covered with sheet metol not less
thon 0.0122" thick. Cleoronce between the cooking
surfoce ond protected cobinets MUST NEVERBE LESS
THAN 24 INCHES.
• The verticol distonce from the plone of the cooking
surfoce to the bottom of odjocent overheod cobinets
extending closer thon 1" to the plone of the ronge
sides must not be less thon 18". (Seethe Dimensions
ond Cleoronces illustrotion in this section.)
