Action
Note: Each time you install or remove a DIMM, you
must disconnect the server from the power source;
then, wait 10 seconds before restarting the server.
Make sure that the DIMMs match and are installed in
the correct sequence (see "Installing a memory
module" on page 217).

1. Make sure one or more DIMMs are installed in
the server.
2. Reseat the DIMMs and restart the server (see
"Removing a memory module (DIMM)" on page
217 and "Installing a memory module" on page
217).
3. Make sure that the DIMMs match and are
installed in the correct sequence (see "Installing a
memory module" on page 217).
4. (Trained service technician only) Replace the
microprocessor that controls the failing DIMMs
(see "Removing a microprocessor and heat sink"
on page 238 and "Installing a microprocessor and
heat sink" on page 240).
5. (Trained service technician only) Replace the
system board (see "Removing the system board"
on page 247 and "Installing the system board" on
page 248).
