Press LEARN again to exit from the setup
mode.

Place this remote control about 5 to 10 cm
apart from the other remote control on a flat
surface so that their infrared transmitters are
aimed at each other.
• The supplied remote control does not contain all possible
manufacturer codes for commercially
available AV components
(including Yamaha AV components), ff operation is not
possible with any of the manufacturer codes, program the new
remote control function with the Learn feature (see below) or
use the remote control supplied with the component.
• If you have already programmed a remote control function _k_r a
button, the function by learning programming takes priority
over the setup manufactm'er code's function.
• "ERROR" appears in the display window when press any
buttons other than indicated in each step, or when you press
more than one button at once.

object.
Do not press and hold LEARN. If you hold it down
for more than three seconds, the remote enlens the
manufacturer code setting mode,

not included
in the basic
operations
covered
by the manufacturer
code, or an
appropriale
manufacturer
code is not available,
do the
following.
You can program
any of the buttons
available
in
the component
control
area (see page 59). The buttons can
be programmed
independently
for each component.
This remote
control
uansmits
infi'ared
rays. If the other
remote
control
also uses infi'ared
rays,
this remo_e control
can learn most
of its functions.
However,
you may not be able to program
some
special
signals
or extxemely
long transmissions.

Otherwise, the learning mode will be automatically
canceled. In this case, press LEARN again.
Press the button at which you want to
program the new function.
