RSTP 802.1w Configuration Example
Figure 25 is an example of a network with multiple STPDs that can benefit from RSTP. For RSTP to
work, you need to do the following:
• Create an STPD.
• Configure the mode of operation for the STPD.
• Create the VLANs and assign the VLANid and the ports.
• Assign the carrier VLAN.
• Add the VLANs to the STPD.
• Configure the port link types.
• Enable STP.
